Challenge accepted. Showcase their skills where they thrive. Hulo Integrated School had tryouts for several clubs. 

On a court, you may hear shoes squeaking and the ball bouncing. Students demonstrate their abilities during the basketball and volleyball team trials. On August 20 and 22, 2024, HIS basketball coaches Mr. Jesus Vega, Mr. Carlo Tablate, and Mr. Cleyford Fabella led the high school's basketball team tryouts. 

Mr. Jerick Fajardo Martin and Mr. Alvin Roldan conducted the men's and women's volleyball tryouts on August 21 and 23, 2024. Students dive for the ball without contacting the ground. They block their opponents' offenses in order to maintain their position on the squad and score. 

It just demonstrates that HISians can flourish in a multitude of fields. He not only performs academically, but also shows skill. 

HIS participates DepEd's nationwide simultaneous tree planting drive

On December 6, 2023, Hulo Integrated School (HIS) participated in the Department of Education's (DepEd) National Tree Planting Project to foster environmental responsibility among students.

Dr. Efren Consemino, the principal of HIS school, Werlito C. Batinga, the Educational Supervisor in Filipino, teachers, boys' and girls' scouts, and volunteer students planted fruit-bearing trees on the school grounds.

The initiative is consistent with the DepEd Memorandum No. 69 series of 2023, designed to plant over 236,000 trees on school grounds or near 47,678 public schools nationwide.

2 HISian, wagi sa NSPC

GINAWARAN ng pambansang pagkilala si Alessandra A. Salta bilang Outstanding Campus Journalist ng NCR-Elementary sa ginanap na 2024 National Schools Press Conference sa People's Hall, Carcar City, Cebu, Hulo 11.

Sa kabilang dako, nakuha naman ang NCR Radio Scriptwriting and Broadcasting-Filipino ang 4th place Overall Best Radio Production kung saan kabilang sa miyembro si Rance Rajon D. Bautista.

Humakot ng parangal ang RB TeaManda bilang 1st & 5th place Best News Anchors, 4th place Best News Presenter, 3rd place Best in Technical Application at 4th place Best Infomercial sa 2024 NSPC, Perellos Gym, Hulyo 12.

Salta, 2024 Outstanding Campus Journalist ng DepEd-NCR; HISians, pasok sa 2024 NSPC

Kinilala bilang Outstanding Campus Journalist (OCJ) si Alessandra A. Salta ng Hulo Integrated School (HIS) matapos manguna sa DepEd NCR’s Search for Outstanding Campus Journalist sa katatapos na 2024 Regional Schools Press Conference and Contests (RSPC) na ginanap sa Cuneta Astrodome, Pasay City.

Kaugnay nito, gagawaran ng pambansang pagkilala si Salta sa 2024 National Schools Press Conference (NSPC) sa Cebu sa Hulyo.

Dagdag pa rito, muli namang tinanghal ang #TeaManda bilang kampeon sa Radio Scriptwriting and Broadcasting - Elementary, Filipino kung saan kabilang si Rance Rajon D. Bautista, mag-aaral ng HIS.

Makakasama si Bautista sa delegasyon ng Dibisyon ng Mandaluyong at NCR sa taunang NSPC.

Nagsilbing tagapagsanay nina Salta at Bautista si Ma. Elizabeth T. Mateo, gurong tagapayo ng Hulo Frontier.

Samantala, lalaban muli ang Hulo Frontier, opisyal na pamahayagang pangkampus ng HIS sa pambansang kompetisyon ng pamahayagang pangkampus.

HIS young scribes triumphs in 2024 DSPC

HIS campus journalists with their school paper adviser-coaches bagged significant awards in the recently concluded Battle of the Bylines: 2024 Division Schools Press Conference (DSPC) held at Bonifacio Javier National High School (BJNHS), Feb. 15, 17, 24 and 29.

Two young writers secured spots to the regional level after winning the first place in individual category.

Moreover, three radio broadcasters is set to battle for the supreme finals in Radio Scriptwriting and Broadcasting this March.

MAXIMUM level

HIS green spikers hailed as champion in the men's volleyball during the awarding of Mandaluyong Teacher's Sports Fest held at Mandaluyong College of Science and Technology (MCST) gymnasium, yesterday.

Additionally, Alvin S. Roldan, setter of the team received the Most Valuable Player (MVP) and mythical 6 award.

Meanwhile, Marc Ellysse DV. Liquiran emerged as the second runner-up in the table tennis, female category.

MWF conducts seminar to HISians

Manila Water Foundation headed by Ms. Edna Aguirre conducted a talk on Tubig is D Key to select grades four to six students held in HIS library.

The HISians were engaged also in the different activities such as:

Spin the Wheel for Price

The said activity was facilitated by the WINS coordinators, Angelou Yape and Roxane Banico.
